Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) play an important role for the growth of economy

Yesterday I met one of my good friends who is working with General Motors, Halol as supervisor and is getting pretty decent package. He did is electricians’ course from Kubernagar, Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and later on did his diploma thru distance learning program. Today he is placed at a pretty reputed corporation and is getting the salary just as good as top scholar of degree engineering would get after 4 years. What could be the ideal education eco-system?

I have earlier written the fictional story on what should be our ideal education ecosystem, following is the updated version of what could be our ideal education ecosystem. We’ve been continuously working on that since last 1 and half years to make this belief happen. It’s all about proactively helping others. Pessimistic would say that in today’s realistic world, people don’t have time for others or how can you trust someone to return a favor. Optimistic would say that everything that goes around comes back to you. There is no one in the world, which either has not extended their … Continue reading

As I was building the knowledge base for student center on ‘Point10 CollegeBoard’ which is part of Point10Jobs.com, I was pondering on what does job means to any student or a professional for that matter. So I decided to get the answers by Getting Real ‘Job’ is something where you spend majority of your time. We are in India so if i work full week I would be spending almost 5 and half days and if I am working in outsourcing company then may be spending whole week (counting 1 hour extra on each day) on my job. If I … Continue reading

Make Mistakes. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes!

Slowly but surely I am getting all partners in Point10 to start blogging. And here comes the first blog from Hiren Panchasara on why one should not be afraid of making mistakes. ————————————————————- Yes, you are reading it right. Make mistakes. Why? Because when you are ready to make mistakes, you are ready for failure and you are not afraid of the results. And when you are not afraid of results, essentially, you are not afraid of trying something new. That is the motive here. Try something new and don’t be afraid of people knowing about it. Robin Sharma rightly … Continue reading
